The Heritage Park at Dún na Sí takes you on an immersive journey through Ireland’s rural past and traditions.
Explore recreated rural life in Ireland from the dolmens and stone circles of the first farmers of prehistoric times, to the protected farmsteads of the medieval ringfort settlement.

Travel in time over one hundred years ago to our beautifully reconstructed farmhouse, cottages, and blacksmith’s forge. Discover what life was like in Irish rural society over a hundred years ago, when changes like the Penal Laws forced the use of practices like our Hedge School and Mass Rock for the education and religion of ordinary rural people.
Learn about the traditional trades and crafts of the Irish countryside, and enjoy tales about the folklore and mythology of gods and fairies in rural tradition. Meet the animals of a traditional rural farmyard at our Pet Farm, and wonder over the beautifully preserved and restored machinery and equipment in our Rural Museum. Complete your visit with a musical experience in our Teach Ceoil, uncovering the long tradition of Irish music and dance, and its important role in rural life and entertainment.
The Heritage Park opens to visitors from April to September from 10am with last entry at 4pm. It is open in October from 11am with last entry at 3pm.
