Our School Tours provide a fun, educational, and age-appropriate learning experience in a safe and accessible outdoor setting. Tours are tailored to the age and curriculum level of the children and focus on Irish history, rural life, heritage, and nature, delivered through engaging guided tours and interactive storytelling. Schools may also choose to include an Irish dancing class and/or an orienteering experience in our amenity park, encouraging teamwork, movement, and exploration.
To extend the visit, students can enjoy a range of on-site amenities including a playground, sensory garden, Bird Hide, and spacious green areas for outdoor learning and relaxation. The park offers coach parking, toilets, and is fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring an inclusive experience for all students. Teachers and accompanying staff go free, making it an ideal choice for a well-rounded and memorable school outing.
Our Value Tours offer a flexible, tailored experience for groups of 12–75 participants, combining discounted group entry, guided tours, and optional Irish dancing classes to suit your interests and available time. Set in a beautiful natural environment, the Heritage Park provides an authentic taste of rural Ireland, with traditional cottages, farm buildings, native farm animals, heritage trails, and interactive storytelling about local history, customs, and folklore. The park is fully wheelchair accessible and includes coach parking, toilets, and an on-site café, making it an ideal choice for groups seeking an engaging and educational visit.
Our Premium Tours are ideal for smaller groups of fewer than 12 participants, offering a relaxed and highly engaging way to explore the Heritage Park. The experience includes a guided tour and an Irish dancing class or presentation, with the pace and focus naturally shaped by the interests of the group. The smaller group setting allows for richer conversation, closer interaction, and a deeper connection with both the guide and the dance instructor. These tours are especially suited to families, private tour groups, heritage enthusiasts, photography groups, and those celebrating special occasions who are looking for a meaningful and authentic Irish cultural experience.
Step beyond sightseeing and into the living traditions of Ireland with this immersive half-day cultural experience at the Heritage Park. Designed for small groups of no more than 12 guests, this is a personal, hands-on journey into the skills, stories, and spirit of Irish life — past and present.
Your experience begins with a guided walk through the heritage park, led by one of our experienced local guides. Over the course of an hour, you’ll explore the landscape, history, and daily life of Rural Ireland in times gone by, with special stops connected to Irish mythology, where ancient stories and folklore are woven into the very landscape around you. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into the people, beliefs, and traditions that shaped the country.
From there, the culture comes alive. Guests are invited to take part in an Irish dancing class with an experienced instructor. Whether you step onto the floor or prefer to watch and learn, this joyful session offers a true connection to one of Ireland’s most iconic art forms.
Next, it’s time to work with your hands — just as generations did before us. You’ll choose between two traditional craft experiences:
Baking griddle bread in the farmhouse kitchen, learning a time-honoured skill at the heart of Irish home life, or
Willow weaving, where you will create your own St. Brigid’s Cross — a deeply meaningful Irish symbol of protection, renewal, and heritage — which you can bring home as a special reminder of your time here.
After a morning rich in movement, craft, and tradition, you’ll sit down to relax and enjoy a beautiful lunch in our on-site café. Known for its organic and locally sourced food, the Bastion Kitchen proudly serves seasonal produce, including vegetables grown right here in Michael’s Garden — a true taste of the land you’ve just experienced.
Half a Day the Irish Way is more than a tour — it’s a warm welcome into Ireland’s living heritage, shared through stories, skills, food, and community.
Please note: the “Half a Day – The Irish Way” Heritage Experience is available only in June, July, and August, Wednesday to Friday. Booking in advance is required.
The experience is also available as a gift voucher.
