Co-operative Games & Heritage Trail

The day starts with Junior co-operative games suitable for younger children including walk the plank, pass the hula hoop, matching games and more. All designed to encourage team work and build confidence but most importantly to be lots of fun!

After a short break the children will be taken back in time to experience Rural Ireland through the eyes of the first farmers. They can grind wheat in a Ringfort, recreate lessons in our Hedge School, and hear about what life and farming was like before Tractors, TVs or Wi-Fi!

Visit our Scéal Exhibition and learn why Irish music was so important in Rural Ireland. Finish up in the ‘Halla Damhsa’ by stepping some Irish Dancing Steps.

Upon tour completion children can explore our Amenity Park & spend unlimited time in the playground, parkland and picnic areas. Alternatively, explore the Art in the Park Gardens, Sensory Garden and Nature Walks adjacent to the Turlough.
